Directions

Vincennes is located in Southwestern Indiana at the junction of US highways 41 and 50. The city is easily accessible from many areas. From Chicago, Il travel US-41 South.  From Nashville, TN. travel North on I-24 then follow US-41 North. St. Louis, MO is a three hour drive on US 50 East.  Cincinnati, OH. residents have an approximate four-hours drive on US 50 West to bring them to Vincennes.  From Louisville Ky. travel North on US 150 and then West on hwy. 50.

Fort Knox II is located on the Northwest corner of Vincennes. From Highway 50 or from Highway 41 exit at the 6th St exit.  At the stop light turn right. The road bears to the right around the Executive Inn then swings back to the left (a sort of S turn).  Take the next left (about 1/2 mile), this will be Old Terre Haute Rd. Travel about 1/2 mile and turn right on Fort Knox Rd. (If you cross the railroad tracks you have gone too far).  Travel approximately 2 miles the entrance for Ouabache Trails Park will be  straight ahead - turn right up the hill.  The entrance to the fort is a gravel road on the left at the top of the hill.
