1940's style variety show
Sept. 11, 2010
Auditions June 22 at 6:30
Admission is free with a donation to the USO/Indiana
This event will be held at the
Fortnightly building located on the corner of 6th and Seminary St.
The event will feature music, comedy acts, dancing, and songs of the WWII era. The USO Show committee is actively seeking individuals or groups who are interested in performing for the show. Comedy routines, skits, acts, musical performances, and of course singers representing the WWII era are encouraged to participate. Talent should be reminiscent of the late 1930s and early 1940s. Creativity and ingenuity are encouraged. Performers need not be professionals - an amateur talent night is the goal.
A meeting of potential talent will be held at the Fortnightly building beginning at 6:30 pm on June 22, 2010. Search the internet or visit the library to find a song or skit that suits you. Practice your juggling, baton twirling, or what ever skill you may be willing to show off. Begin to practice now, then bring your talent to the auditions on June 22. No pressure, this is going to be a fun event – and will be a great one with your help. For more information contact Frank Doughman at 812-882-1776 ext. 204 or e-mail to USOshow@spiritofvincennes.org.
