The Log Cabin Visitors' Center
The Log Cabin Visitors Center originally was the corn crib of an 1840 barn
located south of Vincennes. It was brought to the site and made into a log cabin. Inside
the Log Cabin Visitors Center you will find portraits of Elihu Stout, William Henry
Harrison, Tecumseh, Maurice Thompson and other items of interest. Brochures of many
historic sites as well as city maps and other information is available here. Whether you
are seeking information or just need a place to rest and chat a while, the Log Cabin
Visitors Center is the place to visit.
The Territory Capitol, Print Shop of Elihu Stout, Maurice Thompson Birthplace, and Log
Cabin Visitors Center are all located at 1 W. Harrison Street, Vincennes, Indiana.
